Dive Shop: Seahorse Dive Shop
Dive Master: Harry
I don’t hesitate to recommend diving with Seahorse Dive Shop. I especially like their location, which like Go Sea Tours, they don’t have to go slowly through the lagoon before hitting the open water. The divemasters are knowledgeable and fun.
Also, Silk Cayes, can you believe these conditions?
North Wall
This was the first time I did North Wall at Silk Cayes. I was with my dive buddy, Randy Jenkins, who has a lot more experience than I do and he loved it as well. We had a nurse shark with us the entire dive hoping for some lionfish. When our DM found one for it, a grouper came and stole it!
Saw several lobsters on the wall as well as the sharks and groupers.
This also marked my first dive without anxiety before getting in the water. Thank you Randy for being such a calming buddy. I will forever be grateful for your mentorship. On this first dive of the day it was Randy, the DM, another very experienced diver, and me. They were all pointing things out to me. I can’t wait to be the person doing that for others.

White Hole
Like at North Wall, DM Harry was hunting Lionfish. He handed the spear over to my dive buddy and he got one in a single shot and the nurse sharks were thrilled. Later, Harry got one and there were several nurse sharks but they took awhile to notice he was trying to give them a treat. The nurse sharks really don’t seem to be very smart.

Shark Ray Alley
Most trips to the Silk Cayes ends with a visit to Shark Ray Alley, which is a shallow area where Belizean fisherman clean their catches. You commonly see sharks, rays, and turtles. Here is the local Loggerhead making his way to the boats.
